Paul Nteza
Executive Director

Paul Nteza is a Programme Management and Evaluation Specialist with over 20 years of experience in M&E of environmental development projects, gender mainstreaming, grant-making, and microfinancing best practices. He has expertise in GEF, GCF, AF, and EU project development, as well as community-based natural resource management and climate finance. As a Programme Officer at UNDP’s Regional Service Center for Africa, he led strategic support to six pilot countries (Burkina Faso, Mauritius, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, and South Africa). Prior to this, he managed the Mountain Ecosystem-Based Adaptation Programme, a global partnership between IUCN, UNDP, and UNEP. Since 1997, Paul has held project management, M&E, and advisory roles in various UNDP and UNDP-GEF projects across East, Central, and Southern Africa, focusing on sustainable land management, biodiversity, renewable energy, and climate change, with an emphasis on policy development and community livelihoods.
