Benedict Libanda, founder of One Point Five Partners, has over 22 years of experience in climate finance, working with 55+ donor agencies, 18 development finance institutions, and 300 civil society organizations. He was the finance lead negotiator for Namibia’s US$10 billion Hyphen Green Hydrogen Project, finalized in May 2023. He also led the design and capitalisation of the Namibia Green Hydrogen Fund, targeting US$1 billion. Benedict supports Namibia in structuring its carbon market mechanism and assists African countries with capacity building, accreditation, and resource mobilization. He has designed four climate-related funds and their deployment strategies. Additionally, he is the Senior Advisor to the AIP Blended Financing and Project Development and a Doctorate candidate at the Ecole des Ponts Business School in France, specialising in blended financing structuring. He holds a Master’s in Development Studies and an MBA in Finance.
