She is the Director of Origination at Base Carbon, leading cross-vertical project development and investment strategies for carbon removal technologies. She is also the founder of Sakabah Solutions, advising MENA governments on integrating carbon strategies into national policies, and serves as a Carbon Removal Advisor for Bahrain. She completed a doctoral research fellowship at the Gund Institute, focusing on AI and machine learning in environmental innovation. Svenja holds advisory roles with the UN and the Paris Agreement Article 6.4 Supervisory Body, contributing to carbon policies and public-private partnerships.
